ok... so apparently i haven't updated this actual fic since last year? BUT I did write a hell of a lot of PeggySous in 2022 for Agent Carter Bingo including one shots of the future of this timeline, so if you haven't read those that might be fun for you. It's all linked in the To Belong-Verse series 💜

ANYWAY I hope you enjoy this Beth heavy chapter (which ones aren't lets be honest) with many a domestic moment.

I couldn't stop thinking about VAL listening to Shrue's radio speech when she confronts Carson, and wondering just how many times she listened back to that recording while waiting for him. Did it bring her some comfort, to listen to someone else's last words as she waited to speak her own? Did she feel a little less alone, keeping company with another ghost that hasn't realised it's already dead?

see the thing abt blythe (and once again i love how my boy is FLEXIBLE!!!) is that how he thinks and perceives things can be entirely influenced by who he ends up with. like with yunie and shiloh he goes fucking INSANE and spirals deeper to his deeply unwell perception of love (yunie reaffirming his twist on his mothers words and essentially becoming his precious little princess, shiloh slowly but surely shaping him into the perfect weapon he can wield) but also like. if hes with normal ish people hes. well he wouldn't be as unhinged but he IS the weirdo one. charlotte just turns him into a blubbering dog who follows her orders bc she said nice things to him and courted him like a normal person would. delilah has high awareness but dances around the subject of MURDER and IS NOT USED to that side of the world and would insist the blood on his shirt is jam bc blythe is NICE. hes literally NICE!!!!!!

When they first move in together Buck and Tommy keep their clothes in separate drawers, but it only takes a few months for them to give up on that approach and just mix everything together.

The problem is that they keep stealing each others shirts, so it’s easier if they’re all in the same drawer. And, well, if their shirts are together their pants might as well be, too. It’s pretty obvious who each pair belongs to so it’s not an issue for them.

And, well, if it’s pants and shirts mixed together then everything else should be mixed together, too. The socks it doesn’t really matter, socks are socks. And, honestly, they lost track of who the socks belonged to after their first load of combined laundry. And at that point they might as well pull all their underwear in the same drawer, too.

Father / Daughter Dance ~

The music was starting to swell again as the guests mingled and took to the dance floor , of course many were trying to vie attention from the king all hoping to get that dance and possibly get the ear of said king for whatever plans they were wanting to do— but his eyes were only on one woman In particular .

In her lovely dress of white with stars in her hair she looked every bit as beautiful as her mother, an Angel among demons ~ and a star among angels a Morningstar .

He bowed to his daughter with a soft smile on his face, “My dear princess would you do me the honor and privilege of dancing with me tonight?” He asked with a wink.

This in turn enabled David to face problems with certainty that he was a beloved child of God, with full access to his Father’s storehouses of power, courage, and wisdom. If doubts ever arose, he could look back on God’s great faithfulness in past troubles.

To be victorious, we should practice David’s spiritual habits. Spend time with God and keep a record of His work in your life. Then you can be confident that He is sufficient, no matter the obstacle.”

The medic’s confusion draws Rodimus’s attention, coming closer and tapping at Ratchet’s shoulder. “You alright, doc?”

There's a bit of a jolt as he's tapped on the shoulder, looking at the flaming mech next to him in confusion.

' Doc? '

He wasn't a doctor ... was he? Ratchet takes a second to look down at his servos, already starting to shake slightly without volition. Did they always do that? How could he be a doctor if his servos shook this badly?

I feel the same way….especially with the damn fic I’m writing.

Please appreciate the following snippet of Charles being on his knees for Seb (likely place for him to be)

He goes to his knees slow, meets Seb’s intense gaze with his own, can’t help the smile that curves across his features, reflexive, as he makes himself comfortable. Seb doesn’t stand firm on formalities, watches as Charles arranges his legs where they’re most comfortable, before he nuzzles against Seb’s thigh, the press of denim against his cheek sharper than he likes it to be.

“He called me “Owen”.”

Derek and Mark exchange a look. They’ve heard this rant 3 times already but from the look in their friend’s eye, they know now is not the time to bring that up.

“I mean, I would’ve understood “Mr. Hunt” if he didn’t know I’m a doctor,” Owen continues, throwing his hands in the air. “But really? Really? “‘Sup, Owen?””

“At least he acknowledged your existence?” Derek suggests, taking a sip of his coffee.

Owen gives him a Look. “How would you feel if you found out Alex was going to his girlfriend’s house and addressing her parents like that?”

“I wouldn’t be happy,” he admits. “And my mom would’ve killed me if I did the same. But not everyone is raised the way we were.”

“That much is clear,” Owen mutters. Mark raises his sandwich, hoping to get a bite in until… “And he has a tattoo. He’s 16. How did he get a tattoo?”

“At the tattoo parlor?” Mark suggests. Owen scoffs. “His parent could’ve consented, or he has a fake ID.”

“Oh, great. So, what else is he buying with that thing?”

“I admit I wouldn’t be okay with that one,” Derek chimes in.

“At least now you’re on my side.”

“It’s not that we’re not on your side, Hunt,” Mark says. “It’s just that there’s not much that can be done. You show how much you hate this guy, he’ll be your son-in-law as soon as they’re both legal.”

“It’s easy for you to say that. You both have boys. That’s easier.”

Mark snorts as Derek about chokes on his coffee. “Easy? You really think we have it easy? I have a people pleaser and Derek has a danger magnet. We’re on edge every time they show interest in someone.”

“We’re just lucky they don’t have anyone right now. We could just as easily be in your shoes.”
